Heartland Hotel Haast

Nestled in the breathtaking **Haast Pass, Southland, New Zealand**, the Heartland World Heritage Hotel offers a serene escape within a **UNESCO World Heritage area**. Located right by the State Highway and the gentle Haast River, you're perfectly positioned at the lower reaches of the magnificent Southern Alps. It’s an ideal base for exploring this pristine natural wonderland. Our **single-storey hotel** was thoughtfully designed to harmonise with its stunning surroundings, minimising its impact on the delicate local environment. Inside, you'll find our standard rooms, beautifully presented following a refurbishment programme in 2004. Each room is **ensuite**, centrally heated, and features a TV with in-house video channels, plus convenient tea and coffee making facilities. Please note, due to our remote location, all rooms offer **shower-only facilities**. In the evenings, the **Waitoto Restaurant** serves a delightful 3-course buffet dinner nightly during high season. For those visiting in the low season, delicious meals are available upon request. Afterwards, unwind in our **cosy house bar**, a welcoming spot to relax and experience genuine West Coast hospitality. We’re confident you'll find our rates competitive; we offer a **Best Price Match guarantee** and typically provide lower prices than major booking sites like Booking.com, Expedia, and LateRooms.
