Kviknes

Welcome to Kvikne's, a truly iconic hotel nestled on the breathtaking shores of Sognefjord, the longest and widest of the world's fjords. This landmark establishment, with its charming Swiss-inspired wooden architecture housing the reception and restaurant, offers a unique blend of historical character and modern comfort.

You'll find our rooms to be well-maintained and of a comfortable size, each featuring excellent bathrooms. While a limited number of rooms are situated in the original traditional part of the hotel, most guests enjoy the contemporary accommodation in the modern wing. For those seeking unparalleled vistas, our Fjord View rooms are typically located on the upper floors of this modern section, offering spectacular panoramas of the glistening water and dramatic mountains beyond.

Indulge in the hotel's culinary delights at our large and elegant restaurant, where a sensational buffet dinner awaits. As you dine, soak in the marvellous views that stretch out over the fjord – it's an experience you won't soon forget. While specific activities are not detailed here, the stunning natural beauty of Balestrand and the Sognefjord region provides ample opportunity for exploration and enjoyment.
