Hotel Heights Shiga Kogen: Your Gateway to Alpine Adventure

Nestled within the breathtaking Shiga Kogen Ski Resort, Hotel Heights Shiga Kogen offers a truly immersive mountain experience. As part of the stunning Joshinetsu National Park and a former host of the 1998 Winter Olympics, this is a destination that captivates throughout the year. Whether you're a seasoned skier or simply seeking solace amidst nature, our location at an elevation of 1,300 to 2,000 metres promises an unforgettable escape. In the warmer months, explore over 23 trekking courses leading to approximately 70 lakes and ponds. The area teems with unique flora and fauna, making it a paradise for nature lovers. As autumn arrives, witness the spectacular transformation of the landscape as leaves turn brilliant shades of red and brown, particularly around the majestic Mt. Yokote. Winter transforms Shiga Kogen into a premier skiing destination, boasting 4 ski areas, 21 ski runs (gelande), and an extensive network of 70 ski lifts. When spring breathes life back into the mountains, the air fills with the songs of returning birdlife. And no visit is complete without a trip to the nearby Monkey Park to observe the famous bathing monkeys in their natural onsen. After a day of exploration, unwind in our hotel's own natural hot spring onsen, a perfect antidote to any exertion.
