Yukai Resort Ureshinokan

A Proper Japanese Onsen Stay, Without the Luxury-Ryokan Price Tag

Most international visitors planning a ryokan stay in Japan run into the same problem: the famous luxury properties are wonderful, and they cost a fortune. Yukai Resort Ureshinokan is the alternative — a genuinely Japanese ryokan experience in one of the country's most celebrated hot-spring towns, run for the way Japanese families actually travel: dinner and breakfast included, yukata robes waiting in the room, and the onsen open well into the evening.

If you're looking for a quiet, affordable, real introduction to Japanese ryokan culture — somewhere in Kyushu you can use as a base for Saga, Fukuoka, and Nagasaki — this is the kind of place to start.

Rooms in the Japanese Style

Rooms at Yukai Resort Ureshinokan are traditional Japanese in feel — tatami flooring, futon bedding laid out in the evening, a low table for tea, and yukata robes provided for use throughout your stay (including in the public baths and around the property).
Every room includes:

• Futon bedding on tatami

• Yukata robes for each guest, included

• En-suite bathroom with shower and toiletries

• Air conditioning and heating

• Wi-Fi throughout the property

• Tea set and welcome sweets on arrival

• Hairdryer, safe, and standard amenities

Dinner, Breakfast, and the Ryokan Rhythm

A ryokan stay traditionally includes dinner and breakfast, and at Yukai Resort that's exactly what you get.

• Dinner: A Japanese-style buffet featuring fresh sashimi, tempura, Saga beef, locally caught seafood, and regional specialties. Served from 6:00 PM in the main dining room.

• Breakfast: A Japanese buffet served from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM, including grilled fish, miso soup, rice, tsukemono pickles, tamagoyaki, and Western options for those who prefer them.

• Bar and lounge: A relaxing space to unwind after a long day of sightseeing, serving local beverages and light refreshments.
