Koguriyama Sanso

Nestled in the scenic Niigata prefecture of Japan, Koguriyama Sanso offers a unique escape steeped in history and natural beauty. Originally established in 1995 as a private recreation centre for a major company, it was known only to a select few until its revitalisation in the spring of 2021. Now open to the public, it welcomes guests as a charming cafe restaurant, comfortable accommodation, and a rejuvenating one-day hot spring facility.

Experience the authentic charm of our main Japanese-style rooms, complemented by a distinctive salon space featuring a sloping ceiling. The heart of relaxation at Koguriyama Sanso is our exquisite cypress-lined hot springs, drawing directly from the natural Muikamachi hot springs. These are 100% natural, free-flowing hot springs, ensuring an authentic and therapeutic bathing experience.

Beyond accommodation and relaxation, Koguriyama Sanso serves as a multipurpose meeting space and a venue for various events. We also host special training camps designed to help reset the mind and body, ideal for those seeking respite from the stresses of work and daily life. For winter enthusiasts, our proximity to ski resorts means you can be on the slopes quickly, with the convenience of a garage to keep your car snow-free.

We pride ourselves on offering excellent value, often at rates lower than those found on major booking sites. Book your stay directly with us and discover the tranquil beauty and restorative qualities of Koguriyama Sanso.
