Milk Factory

Hotel Overview

Nestled in the fishing town of Höfn, the Milk Factory offers a clever blend of industrial heritage and Icelandic charm. This thoughtfully converted dairy hub sits moments from Vatnajökull National Park – a UNESCO site where sapphire ice caves and Europe's largest glacier await exploration. Rooms showcase exposed brickwork and local lamb's wool throws, balancing rustic character with modern comforts like geothermal heating. Wake up to mountain views through factory-style windows, with fresh pastries from the on-site bakery.

Adventure starts on your doorstep: join guided glacier hikes along Svínafellsjökull, spot seals at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon (45 minutes' drive), or sample Höfn's legendary langoustine at nearby Hafnarbúðin. Back at the hotel, unwind in lounge areas dotted with rotating local art exhibits or swap travel tales over craft beers at the converted cooling chamber bar.
