Crown & Cushion

Welcome to the Crown & Cushion, a truly characterful family-run hotel nestled in the heart of the vibrant Cotswold market town of Chipping Norton. Steeped in history, this former 15th-century coaching inn offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, blending traditional charm with comfortable accommodation. You'll be captivated by the antique pine and dark oak furnishings, complemented by classic wallpaper and carpets, though some rooms offer a more contemporary feel.

Step outside and you're just a minute's stroll from a delightful array of independent restaurants, a charming local theatre, and a unique boutique cinema, making it the perfect base to explore all that Chipping Norton has to offer. The hotel itself boasts a fascinating past, once being owned by the legendary drummer Keith Moon of 'The Who', who often hosted his celebrity friends here. You might even spot furnishings originally purchased from the nearby shop of comedy icon Ronnie Barker, a frequent visitor.

While the swimming pool is currently unavailable and there is no elevator/lift, we do offer ground floor rooms which can be requested upon booking to ensure your comfort. We are proud to offer competitive rates, often finding our prices are lower than those you might see on platforms like Booking.com, Expedia, and LateRooms. We also typically offer a Best Price Match guarantee, so you can book with confidence.
